About Total Chimney Care
After serving in the US Navy, our founder Steve Sobczak settled in Milford, CT and began sweeping chimneys part time. It was not long before the word spread about his quality service and fair pricing. On May 1, 1996, he incorporated the business and moved into the facility we are in now.

From day one, we knew the only way to achieve the goal of complete customer satisfaction was to establish procedures that ensure the job is done right the first time, every time, and at every customer’s home. We have established a set of procedures for practically every service we offer our clients. In addition to putting procedures in place, we needed to get the right people to carry them out. All of our employees are pre-screened before hiring with drug testing and a criminal background check.
The Right Training
Once we have the right people in place, they are trained in our in-house training facility. It is our opinion that technicians should be fully trained before they work in our customers’ homes. Our techs are trained to follow the procedure manual, trained in-house, tested, and receive follow up training periodically. Simply put, our techs are trained here, not in your house. With this system in place, we can ensure our customers are given the quality that they deserve.

This time will be within one hour of the arrival of our service technician. If problems arise, you will be notified as soon as possible. Please remember that weather will slow our technicians down as they have to work slowly and carefully to stay safe.
